Makeup Tutorial: Subtle Smokey Eye!

Hey Everyone!

Today I’m doing a video tutorial on how to do a subtle smokey eye. I consider it subtle because its not pure black. You can make it more or less subtle depending on what colours you use. What you’ll need is 3 colours, all in the same colour family. One has to be light (a few shades lighter than your skin), the second should be medium (a few shades darker than your skin), and the last shade should be dark (a nice bit darker than your medium shade). I use 3 colours from the Monarch Palette by Kat Von D (entomology, vanish, and shadow box). To figure out how I applied these colours, watch the video below!

Remember you can always change up colours for different sort of smokey eye looks! I purposely chose matte eyeshadows but you could use grey and black shimmery eyeshadows in the same way and the look would come out completely different!

Products Used in Video:
Kat Von D Monarch Palette “Shadow Box” “Vanish” and “Entomology”
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
YSL Baby Doll Mascara (video cut out, used it for bottom lashes)
Lilac Lipstick (Custom Made)

Products Used Prior to Video:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Too Face Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Lightscapade
NARS Guy Bourdin Palette (Deep Throat)
Belletto Studio Ultimate Airbrush System & FY1 “Creme De La”
